Master Angler Awards
Members are able to qualify for the award of MASTER ANGLER in either line class or length divisions.
Line class
The member must submit ten different eligible species over any period of time, each worth at least 100 points. Juniors need only submit eligible species to 80 points. Points are calculated by multiplying the mass of the fish (in kilograms) by 100 times the fighting factor divided by the line class:
MASS (kg) x 100 x factor / LINE CLASS (kg)
Length
The member must submit ten different eligible species, each one equal to or longer than the Trophy Length for the species to qualify for a “Length based master” award, or ten different captures of the same species, each one equal to or longer than the Trophy Length for the species to qualify for a Length based species master” award.
The factors and trophy lengths shall be taken from the list of Eligible Species. Only fish on this list will be considered a capture. A list of these factors and lengths, together with further Masters information can be found in the Rule Book or through the Club Committee.
